What the site is for
How Long? helps readers plan time. The site focuses on methods that transfer across many everyday situations: separating active effort from elapsed time, counting the correct kind of day, modelling setup and cleanup, recognising dependencies, and using buffers without hiding known work.
The calculators are intentionally transparent. Where a rate is highly variable, you enter your own. Where a waiting period can be safety- or product-specific, you enter the value supplied by the applicable authoritative source. The goal is useful arithmetic built on visible assumptions, not a false impression that every question has one universal number.
What the site does not do
It does not certify schedules, determine code compliance, set legal deadlines, provide medical or emergency guidance, or replace manufacturer instructions and qualified professional advice. We avoid publishing generic durations where being early or late could create a material safety problem.
Publisher
How Long? is a division of WRS Web Solutions Inc., an Ontario, Canada corporation. The site is produced as an informational, advertising-supported web publication.
Editorial approach
Articles are written to explain the structure of a timing problem before presenting arithmetic. We favour plain language, international applicability and explicit caveats where rules or instructions differ by jurisdiction, product or project.
