Utility before volume
We aim to publish pages that solve a distinct planning problem or explain a reusable concept. We do not intentionally create hundreds of near-identical pages that differ only by a keyword or number.
Show the assumptions
A duration calculation is only as useful as its inputs. Calculators label the factors they use and avoid hiding arbitrary universal rates where readers can supply better local information.
Separate planning from authoritative requirements
Manufacturer instructions, contracts, laws, codes, inspection requirements and qualified professional guidance can control timing. They take priority over this site. We avoid inventing medical, food-safety, structural, chemical or other safety-critical durations.
International context
Readers may be in different countries. Content therefore avoids assuming one legal system, public-holiday calendar, unit system or building code unless a page explicitly says otherwise.
Sources and updates
General principles are cross-checked against primary or reputable sources where appropriate. Product-specific instructions are not copied into generic pages because they can vary and change. Pages include an editorial review date, and material corrections are incorporated when identified.
